SIXTH FORM LEARNING MENTOR – ACADEMIC SUPPORT

(Term Time Only)

Kent Range 3 (£15,253 – £16,967) pro rata

The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people in a mentoring capacity. An awareness of SEND is desirable, specifically Dyslexia and ASD. The candidate will have a strong academic skill set and ability to deliver academic and study skills support to high functioning A Level students.

The successful candidate will have experience of providing support for individual students with an EHCP for ASD within a class situation to enable them to participate in class activities. An awareness and experience of working with young people with SEND is required.

FACULTY LITERACY COORDINATOR

Coordinating and delivering targeted literacy support interventions principally in KS3 – dyslexia focus

Salary negotiated based on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will have experience of planning and delivering high quality, individualised and group literacy intervention lessons across the age and ability range focusing on developing a student’s confidence in the areas of organisation, planning, writing, reading, spelling and wider study skills. Experience of working with a range of young people with Dyslexia, Phonological Processing Weaknesses and wider SEND preferable. Experience as specialist teacher or support tutor holding a Certificate or Diploma in Dyslexia/SpLD or equivalent qualifications preferable.
