Educational Visits

Group visits

We are currently able to offer half or full day sessions covering a range of KS2 – KS5 Biology topics, including:

  • Surveying techniques: Use of quadrat, random sampling, transects, longworth traps, pooters etc.
  • Pond surveying: Sampling techniques and adaptations of aquatic invertebrates.
  • Adaptations: Physical and behavioural adaptations.

Sessions can be run Langton staff or visiting teachers.

Equipment, lab space and tuition are offered free of charge to schools and other groups in the local area.

Where groups would require use of Langton minibuses a charge will need to be made to cover costs.

Environmental clubs

We may not be experts, but after several years of developing our school grounds and carrying out surveys, we have a fair amount of experience.

We can offer advice to schools and other groups wanting to carry out their own surveys, develop their grounds or carry out other environmental work.

Groups are welcome to visit us, or alternatively we can come to you to share ideas.
