The school has been awarded £250,000 by the Wellcome Trust to conduct research into multiple sclerosis.

We are the only school in England to hold a licence to carry out research using human DNA.

The research project began after Dr Colthurst's wife Brenda was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
