February 3rd 7.30 – 10pm will be the next Friday night Public Observing at the Star Centre with SEKAS.
On Thursday 9th February 7 – 9pm Langton Guide to the Universe has a very special speaker – Professor Russell Stannard, Professor Emeritus of Physics at the Open University and author of the Uncle Albert series of books as well as ‘The End of Discovery – Are we approaching the boundaries of the knowable?’ which came out last year from Oxford University Press.

We are delighted that he has agreed to come and speak about the Implications of Cosmology for Religion. He is a regular contributor to Thought for the Day on Radio 4's Today programme. Along with that there will be the update of students’ work from the Star Centre including the latest results from the MBP Project and news of CLEAR, the Comprehensive Langton Evaluation and Analysis of Radiation Project which has just got through to the finals of the National Science and Engineering Competition.
Looking forward to seeing you at these events and sending all good wishes for the festive season
Becky Parker
Director, Langton Star Centre
