Langton Sport

Our curriculum is designed to put learning firmly at the centre of all that we do and our approach to sport is no different. At the Langton we have developed a culture of sporting excellence which encourages all students to excel, whatever the activity. Students practice and train regularly for sporting fixtures in many sports, including Rugby, Football, Hockey, Basketball, Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics just to name a few.

The trophy cabinet is packed, as you will see in Reception, and The Langton is known throughout Kent and the rest of the country as a fierce and formidable opponent in all manner of sports. Our young men and women continue to be national and international competitors, but there is something for everybody in our wider range of sporting opportunities.

Langton Elite Academies

Our pride is our Elite Rugby Academy which is the first of its kind in the country. Through our partnership with The Canterbury Academy and with the appointment of Nicky Little as the Director of Rugby we can offer students a unique opportunity to receive world class coaching of an elite standard.

Students attend coaching sessions on a daily basis, combined with specialist individualised strength and conditioning programmes and education in nutrition, fitness and skill development. Players compete at the highest level nationally against schools and colleges that are also recognised for their elite rugby development.

Students can enrol for the elite sports academies as they would for any other subject at A-Level. At present, The Langton offer elite sports academies in Rugby, Athletics, Basketball and Trampolining.
