Writer in Residence |
Simon Scarrow is Writer in Residence at the Langton. He has published eight novels, mostly in the famous “Eagle” series of Roman novels and his latest novel “Young Bloods” focuses on the childhood of Napoleon and Wellington.
He lives in Norfolk, but regularly comes to the Langton to run creative writing workshops, talk about his work or talk to the students about aspects of the Roman army. The Scarrow Award for fiction is awarded for the best piece of historical fiction of the year and is judged by Simon.
