11th May 2020 – Date of first examination on common timetable (GCSE/GCE)

18th June 2020 – Date of final examination on common timetable (GCSE)

23rd June 2020 – Date of final examination on common timetable (GCE)


24th June 2020 – Contingency day for GCSE and/or GCE examinations should sustained national or local disruption arise during the June 2020 examination series (GCSE/GCE)

The following is a quote from the Joint Council for Qualifications ICE booklet:

“The designation of a ‘contingency day’ within the common examination timetable is in the event of national or local disruption to examinations.  It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations.  Centres must therefore remind candidates that they must remain available until Wednesday 24th June should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan”.



Year 7 Appeals

YEAR 7 APPEALS 2020 Please note that Year 7 appeals will not be taking place during the week beginning 27th April 2020 as planned. If you have submitted an appeal by post and have not had an acknowledgement from the school please email the following details to Your son’s name and address his date of birth, current school and Kent Test scores. We are awaiting further information regarding appeals from the Department of Education and Kent County Council as to the next steps. All appellants known to us will be kept updated as the situation evolves.
